This spring, the Downtown State College Improvement District is excited to feature a vibrant art installation by Ariel Oki, running throughout March, April, and May. Her mixed-media pieces beautifully blend her Japanese and Los Angeles roots with the landscapes of her new home in State College.

After earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Tufts University, she returned to Los Angeles, where she launched an art enrichment company and exhibited her work in galleries like The Hive Gallery. The pieces incorporate elements of local State College landscapes, showcasing her ability to blend urban and natural worlds in striking new ways.
